SKILLS + EXPERTISE

As a cinematographer and creative professional, I take great care and pride in crafting compelling images and stories. I have spent more than a decade dedicated to the art of image making and technical expertise, all the while keeping a focus on the humanity of the clients I work for and the stories I film. Whether I’m personally holding the camera, directing or assisting, my first goal is always to aim for what best fits the story being told. Through being a strong team player and proactive collaborator, I strive to make myself an asset on every production.
Over the years, I’ve had the honor of working with clients and agencies both large and small. Whether I’m contracting directly with a client, or subcontracting with a production company; quality, competency, and congeniality are my baseline standards. I never want to leave a production having merely done a job, but rather knowing that I have built a new relationship with real people.
I think it’s actually difficult to list every skill a cinematographer must possess in a document like a resume because this job is all about combining technical precision with artistic creativity. Not all artists are good at science and not all technicians are good at art, and when on-set, both of those also need to be excellent problem solvers. That’s basically the job description of a cinematographer. It’s science and good taste and the ability to find solutions.
This is my attempt to consolidate those qualities into a list of skills.
