Night sky time lapse photography has always fascinated me. I’ve done lots of slow exposures of the stars before, but I had never attempted a long time lapse series until recently. Even this was just an experiment since I had never tried it before… But now I’m hooked and I can’t wait to get out do some more.

These time lapse video clips were made from individual stills of 30 sec exposures each. The 1st video below was captured over about an hour and the 2nd video was captured over about 30 minutes.

Set up: Canon 5dMk3, Sigma 35 1.4, tripod.

I took one still photo every minute for the duration of each time lapse.
